Southern Homes Remodeling Company, Inc. has become one of Columbia's premier remodeling companies. Sid Albert started as a sole proprietorship in 1990, but the company, as it is now known, was given birth by incorporation in June, 1991.

Southern Homes Remodeling Company, Inc. is licensed by the SC Residential Homebuilders Commission, License #11422, as a residential contractor. Originally, the primary business was roofing, replacemtnt windows and vinyl siding; however, it soon found its niche and is now one of the few companies in the Greater Colulmbia area that

specializes in remodeling and renovations. By choice, we elect to build no new houses from the ground up, but rather specialize soley in remodeling.

The company is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and has been since 1994. we are likewise members of the 'Care Board' of the BBB. Southern Homes Remodeling Company, Inc. is also a member of the Greater Columbia Home Builders Association, the Remodelers Council, the National Association of Home Builders, and the National Association of Home Builders Remodelers Council.

Southern Homes Remodeling Commpany, Inc. has accommodated the wants and needs of varied customers, including doctors and professors with lake front homes, as well as more modest jobs performed on limited budgets. Occasionally, Sid will even carry a short term Note for those he feels compelled to assist, i.e., a disabled veteran, a handicapped woman, and several churches.

In 2003, Sid was notified by the Remodelers Council, that Southern Homes Remodeling Company, Inc. has won First Place in the category of "Best Room Addition Under $60,000". At the Remodelers Council meeting, Sid was presented the award as announced in the July/August issue of columbia Metropolitan Magazine.

On a personal note, Sid is an eleven year resident of Coldstream Subdivision, and has graduated three sons from Georgia Tech, Clemson, and USC, respectively. He has been married 20 years to Karen and they have a 13 year old daughter, Lane, and a golden retriever, Sara.
